US Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship

There are three different publications used to promote and inform on the DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellowship.

DEIXIS Magazine
DEIXIS was developed in 2002 as an annual publication for the DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (CSGF) program.  It discusses science at eight of the Department of Energy’s multi-purpose laboratories, highlights the fellows’ practicum experiences, and profiles alumni.  The publication has helped to increase DOE CSGF program recruitment, aided in practicum selection, and increased promotion of the happenings at the Department of Energy labs.

DEIXIS has met with tremendous success and accolades, including nine prestigious awards for its first three publications.

Compose JournalCompose Journal
In 2005 the DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (CSGF) program launched an annual essay contest, open to current and former fellows, to write an essay on some computational science topic of personal importance geared toward a non-technical audience.  The winning entries, after some professional polishing-up, are presented in the electronic annual journal Compose.

DOE CSGF Newsletter
CSGF Community is a place where fellows and alumni can read about CSGF happenings; important announcements, deadlines and frequently asked questions; as well as a way to get to know their peers better and read other interesting articles.
