The Undergraduate Computational Engineering and Sciences (UCES) Project

Overview:

The UCES Project promotes the emerging field of computational science as an interdisciplinary approach to scientific analysis by identifying and supporting excellence in computational science education at the undergraduate level.

Currently this support takes several forms:

Constructing an educational archive: The primary emphasis is on collecting, developing, and distributing a set of educational materials in computational science suitable for undergraduates and advanced secondary school students. An extensive on-line archive of these materials is available.

Awards: To recognize superior contributions to the field of computational science education, UCES sponsors awards for undergraduate students and faculty.

NOTE: due to lack of funding, no awards will be made this fiscal year.

Important News!

In 1997 UCES was nominated for a Computerworld Smithsonian Award.
